Welcome back to “Trendwise AI.”

Today’s focus: AI is moving from chat boxes into real operating systems.

This week’s biggest AI stories are not just about better models. They are about where AI lives: inside enterprise workspaces, Android phones, company governance dashboards, and public debates about labor and human dignity.

  • And More….

1. OpenAI brings Workspace Agents deeper into Enterprise

  • What happened: OpenAI says ChatGPT Workspace Agents now support eligible Enterprise workspaces with Enterprise Key Management. Companies can build repeatable agents, connect them to approved apps, schedule runs, share them internally, and track versions and analytics.

  • Why it matters: Enterprise AI is becoming an admin problem as much as a model problem. The real question is no longer “can the agent do it?” It is “can the company control it?”

  • Impact: Teams need clear rules for who can create agents, what data they can touch, which tools they can use, and how every action is logged.

2. Google turns Android into a proactive AI layer

  • What happened: Google introduced Gemini Intelligence for Android, with multi-step automation, smarter Chrome browsing, complex form filling, polished speech-to-text, and custom widgets created from natural language.

  • Why it matters: The phone is becoming an AI operating surface. Instead of opening one app at a time, users may start expecting AI to move across apps and finish tasks for them.

  • Impact: App builders should make workflows agent-ready: clear permissions, reversible actions, simple confirmations, and structured screens that an assistant can understand.

Investors see ANOTHER return from Masterworks (!!!!)

That’s 6 sales in 7 months. 29 all time. And the performance?

16.5%, 17.6%, and 17.8%, net annualized returns on sold works held longer than one year (See all 29 at Masterworks.com)

It’s not from stocks, private equity, or real estate… it’s from contemporary and post war art. Crazy, right?

With Masterworks, you don’t need to be a BILLIONAIRE to invest in multi-million dollar art anymore.

Historically, the segment overall has had attractive appreciation and low correlation to stocks.*

Masterworks targets works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, identifying what they believe to have significant long-term appreciation potential, not just at the artist level but at the level of individual artworks.

As one of the largest players in the art market, with $1.3 billion invested over 500 artworks, they pass critical advantages through to their 70,000+ members to add art to their portfolios strategically.

3. Anthropic passes OpenAI in workplace adoption

  • What happened: Axios reports that Anthropic passed OpenAI in business adoption for the first time in April, based on Ramp AI Index data. Anthropic reached 34.4% adoption among Ramp businesses using generative AI vendors, while OpenAI was at 32.3%.

  • Why it matters: Consumer popularity and business adoption are becoming two different races. Enterprises care about reliability, coding quality, procurement fit, security, and workflow integration.

  • Impact: Companies should avoid depending on one AI provider. A smart stack has a default model, a backup model, and task-specific testing for important workflows.

4. Pope Leo XIV makes AI a labor-and-dignity issue

  • What happened: AP reports that Pope Leo XIV signed his first encyclical on May 15, with public release expected in the coming weeks. The document is expected to address AI through human dignity, labor, justice, peace, and social relationships.

  • Why it matters: AI is no longer only a tech industry debate. It is becoming a society-wide question: what should be automated, who benefits, who loses power, and where humans must stay in control?

  • Impact: Businesses should add a “people impact” review to AI rollouts: job changes, customer transparency, escalation paths, and human review for sensitive decisions.
