🚫 Texas Moves to Ban Social Media for Minors
What: Texas is advancing House Bill 186, aiming to prohibit individuals under 18 from creating or using social media accounts. The bill mandates platforms to verify users' ages through commercial services and allows parents to request account deletions. If passed, it would take effect in September 2025.
Why: Supporters argue the bill protects minors from harmful online content linked to mental health issues like self-harm and body image concerns. However, critics, including civil liberties groups, contend it infringes on First Amendment rights and raises privacy concerns due to required age verification processes.
Impact: If enacted, Texas would become the first U.S. state to impose a complete social media ban for minors, potentially setting a precedent for similar legislation nationwide. This move could significantly alter how young people interact online and spark broader debates on digital rights and youth protection.
As Texas considers this groundbreaking legislation, the balance between safeguarding youth and preserving digital freedoms remains a contentious issue. Will other states follow suit, or will legal challenges reshape the conversation? 🔗Link

🤖 Dark LLMs: AI Chatbots Still Easily Tricked
What: A recent study from Ben Gurion University reveals that most AI chatbots, including popular ones like ChatGPT, can still be easily "jailbroken" to provide harmful or illegal information. Despite safety measures, researchers found that cleverly crafted prompts can bypass filters, leading to dangerous outputs.
Why: This matters because it highlights the persistent vulnerabilities in AI systems that are widely accessible. The ease with which these chatbots can be manipulated raises concerns about their potential misuse, emphasizing the need for more robust safety protocols and ethical guidelines in AI development.
Impact: The study underscores the growing threat posed by "dark LLMs"—AI models intentionally designed without ethical safeguards. As these models become more prevalent, there's an urgent need for stricter regulations and improved safety measures to prevent their exploitation for malicious purposes.
As AI technology continues to evolve, ensuring its safe and ethical use becomes increasingly critical. How can developers and policymakers collaborate to fortify AI systems against misuse? 🔗Link

How I Made $81.20 in Just 2 Days
A Real Side Hustle, Anyone Can Do it (It just needs your phone)

Nowadays, having multiple income sources is a must because life is unpredictable. Because layoffs may happen, companies may close, or unexpected life events like illness can disrupt your plans.
Betting everything on a single paycheck is risky. That is why we have to work on side hustles, build investments, or do freelance gigs.
Having such multiple incomes may let you take risks, like starting a business or switching careers, without fear of losing everything.
So today, I am going to show you one real side hustle that worked for me.
I’m very skeptical about online jobs. I’ve confronted many scams online, so I don’t trust most sites. But this site is different.
I made $81.20 in just two days from two tasks on this site, and I want to share how I did it.
First, I got a simple testing application task. Though it seems simple, it was hard to understand the documents and get used to their rules, and it took me a lot of time.
The good thing is that you’re expected to follow their instructions, complete the task, and get paid.
But if you find a bug, you get additional payment based on how serious it is — up to $16 per bug.
That day, I finished the project, not expecting anything, even though they claimed I’d be paid.
I didn’t believe it until the money hit my PayPal account.

Another test came about a week later. Since I was better trained, it didn’t take me too much time. However, I still didn’t find a bug.
But I learned how to conduct a reproducibility test. This is where someone reports a bug, and you check it on your device to confirm the problem.
Believe me, it takes only 5 minutes, and you get $1 to $1.50 extra.
My last project paid $45, but I received $51.20 because of the reproducibility tests I conducted. These tests teach you a lot about what a bug is and what to report.

Tester Work isn’t like most product testing sites. You act as a quality assurance specialist, testing mobile apps. You receive emails about new projects, so you have to keep an eye on your inbox.
When emailed, you’ll see available projects with details like location, testing type, and device requirements. Click “I want to join” to see instructions.

Before testing, you must pass their community test. Don’t take it lightly — you get only two tries.
If you fail twice, you won’t get testing offers, so take it seriously. The test isn’t user-friendly, and some parts aren’t clear, which is odd for a user-testing site.
If you qualify, you’ll get email notifications about tests, including how much you’ll earn like the above.
Tests have a deadline, usually 48 hours, so you can work anytime but must finish on time. You also need to submit a bug report following their FAQ guidelines; otherwise, you won’t get paid for the bug.
Payments take 12–14 days via PayPal or Upwork.
Anyone can sign up globally. Fill out the registration form, confirm via email, complete your profile, and take the community test. Pass it, and you’re a tester.
But opportunities depend on your location — some countries get more than others.
Before these tests, I got two that suited my mobile device, but they asked for extra things like a camera. I told them I wasn’t qualified since I didn’t have the other stuff.
Be honest about your setup and what you fill during registration.
Finally, I advise you to take the test seriously — it’s not hard if you read carefully and use AI to help. Understand their guidelines well and turn on notifications.
I’m always skeptical, but I suggest you try this side hustle.
If any of you have tried Tester Work before, please share your experience in the comments. Your insights could help others. Let us know what worked, what didn’t, or any tips you have.
Note: If you are someone who wants a side hustle, try it. You don’t lose anything. But it doesn’t mean what worked for me will work for you because tests depend on locations and the device you use.
If you have multiple devices, try to list them all, and if possible, I think older versions are better. Always be authentic. This is my suggestion.
Good luck! Thanks for reading.
